Douglas has taught across several educational establishments within the UK and internationally and has designed, created and delivered innovative fashion workshops and also delivered fashion and textiles courses to a written curriculum.
IN CONVERSATION WITH COLIN MCDOWELL MBE
Douglas completed an MA in Fashion at Middlesex University where he was awarded the Deans Academic Excellence Award for demonstrating academic and professional excellence.
Douglas has recently become active in researching equality issues within Art and Design higher education, particularly issues that impact people of colour.

Douglas has gained a Professional Graduate Certificate in Post Compulsory Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Douglas is a member of Fashion Academics Creating Equality (FACE) and is also a FACE Academic Trustee of the Graduate Fashion Foundation.
Douglas sits on the Equality and Diversity forum at the University of Northampton and is a Founding Co-Chair of the universities Global Ethnic Majority (GEM) Staff Network.
